Coming Home To Yourself: A Guide for Busy Women to Rediscover Purpose & Self-Love

In the chaos of daily life, many women find themselves lost—pulled in countless directions, fulfilling roles but feeling disconnected from their own essence. It can happen so easily, we are taken along with the current of life. and before you know it, you are consumed with "I should, I need to, I must" Instead of "I desire to do, I feel aligned doing, I want to, I get to".

Obviously there are times when there are things that we must do, but life can become a drag and we find ourselves sucked into people pleasing, guilt, resentment and a lack mentality. And quite frankly we deserve more than that!

If you’re yearning to find yourself agai, or even better discover a new you in this season of your life; you want to embrace alignment, purpose, and self-love, here’s how you can begin the journey back home to yourself.

1. Slow Down & Listen

Your intuition is your greatest guide. Carve out sacred moments of stillness—through meditation, deep breathing, or a morning ritual of quiet reflection. Your heart already holds the answers; you just need space to hear them. Even 5 minutes of silence can be so empowering, making it a daily habit. Checking in with yourself, like you would a dear friend. Ask yourself, how can I help & support you? What do I need right now? How can I lead myself today?

2. Reconnect with Your Body

Feminine energy thrives in movement. Dance, stretch, take long, mindful walks. Engage in practices like yoga or intuitive movement to awaken the wisdom stored in your body and realign with what feels right for you. Shut the door, pull the blinds, put some music on, close you eyes - and just feel the music....and just move like no one is watching. Be free in your own body and movements. If you go for a walk - do it mindfully. Just listen and be aware of what is around you and what is going on internally for you.

3. Ask: What Feels Light?

Instead of chasing external expectations, tune in to what sparks joy and peace within. If a path feels heavy, it may not be yours to walk. Follow the energy of ease and expansion—it will lead you closer to your truth. This may not be an overnight change, but look at what no longer serves you and reverse eneginner it. How can you change this journey, to get back on track with where you are meant to be. What steps do you need to take? Even look arounf and who is an energy vampire right now - how can you limi access to your own light?

4. Embrace Sacred Rituals

Incorporate small, soulful practices into your routine—journaling, moon rituals, energy cleansing, or simply lighting a candle with intention. These moments of connection anchor you in your feminine power. Have a bath with ALL the trimmings! Make yourself a little corner in your home that feel peaceful for you. Even when you sit down or work  - how can you make it more enjoyable? My ritual, bearing in mind I work from home  - Salt lamp on, candle on, essential oils during, music on, drink poured, and then I chime my sound bowl and I am ready to begin!

5. Love Yourself Fiercely

Speak to yourself with the tenderness you give others. Honor your needs without guilt. Treat your body, mind, and spirit as sacred. The more you love yourself, the clearer your purpose becomes. You are not lost. You are simply on a journey back to yourself. Trust it. Embrace it. And know that everything you seek is already within you. Make a list of the things you like/love about yourself and what you are good at. Read it back and feel it. if you are stuck and you find this hard - ask a friend!
