
Embracing the rhythm of life, rather than fighting for balance
Hi my love,
April was INTENSE! It felt like a year! Making great memories, worthy of grid space, but also REALLY challenging. I struggled with balance - in ALL areas! Mind, body, soul, life, parenting, work.....the whole caboosh!
Can you relate?
You’re probably trying to balance it all. Work, family, relationships, your health, maybe even a dream or two you’ve tucked away because there’s just never enough time. You’re holding everything together, checking the boxes—but deep down, you’re tired. You’re craving something more aligned, more peaceful… more you.
And I want to tell you something that changed everything for me, I had a realisation after the 30 days:
You don’t have to keep fighting for balance.
Because balance, the way we’ve been taught, doesn’t exist OR its taught by single men OR a man that has a women trying to balance it all behind the scenes and probably not the default parent if there are children! (no shade on men, but just from what I have seen!)
Life isn’t meant to be perfectly divided between roles, responsibilities, and routines. Life has a rhythm. It ebbs and flows.Some seasons are full and fast, others are slower and tender. When we stop trying to force balance and start listening to that natural rhythm, something powerful happens—we begin to heal.
We begin to feel like ourselves again.
I know what it’s like to feel pulled in every direction, trying to stay afloat while quietly wondering, “What about me? When do I get to feel whole, rested, connected?”
Here’s the truth: you can start right now. And you don’t need to overhaul your life overnight.
You just need to start honoring your rhythm.
That might look like giving yourself five quiet minutes in the morning to breathe and check in. It might mean saying “no” to one more obligation so you can say “yes” to yourself. And it definitely looks like learning how to reconnect with your inner wisdom—the part of you that already knows what she needs.
I find it so sad, when women who have been in the Balanced Sanctaury say "I'm just using it enough" as I am too busy. For me that is when I want to scream.....That is your sign that you NEED to make the time. You are the most important person in your life. You have to be your best friend and treating yourself like someone you love and respect....because when you don't your body starts to act up; insomnia, stress, anxiety, aches, pains, skin issues, until your body turns thats DIS-Ease into DISEASE and makes you stop and rest. Which then when we start to feel guilty! Make it make sense! Why are we like it?!
This is where meditation becomes so powerful. Not the perfect kind. The real kind. Sitting in stillness, even for a few minutes, and breathing your way back to center. It’s where you start hearing your truth again. It’s where you meet your future self—the version of you who lives with more ease, confidence, and intention.
